Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart (torn MCL) has been ruled out of the team's Week 15 game against the New York Jets. There remains a chance that Stewart could return in Week 17, but he is sure to miss Weeks 15 and 16.
Jonathan Stewart injury update: RB ruled out, won’t play for fantasy owners
The Panthers running back has already been ruled out for Week 15. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: It's another tough break for Stewart, who will have missed more than half of the 2013 season due to injuries. Stuck in a three-headed running attack with DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert, Stewart never had a chance to be a fantasy asset this year. He only went over 10 carries twice in his six games played and couldn't find the end zone once. Averaging 3.8 yards per carry, he wasn't exactly building a case for a bigger workload. Since Stewart is out, Williams will receive the majority of the carries with Tolbert factoring into the mix as well, especially in goal line work.
Although the carries will increase for Williams this week, its almost offset by the fact that they are facing the Jets and their top-ranked run defense. Even in the 15-20 carry range, owners should have their expectations in check. He’s a weaker RB2 this week.
