This was the likely course of action after Jones-Drew aggravated his hamstring toward the end of Week 14's win over the Houston Texans. Jones-Drew was subsequently held out of practice all week, and despite testing his hamstring during pregame warm ups on Sunday, he will not take the field.
Fantasy Spin: This is going to sting for fantasy owners who experienced something of a resurgence in MJD's career over the past few weeks, and now they won't get to see him capitalize versus a bottom-10 run defense in the Bills. Instead, Jordan Todman will get the nod, and his favorable matchup alone puts him in flex territory.
It’s worth addressing that with wide receiver Cecil Shorts also inactive, the Jaguars could find it difficult to move the ball with regularity, and caution must be exercised. Owners could do much worse than start Todman this week, but he should be considered boom or bust.
