It's been a disappointing first season in New England for Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola. Between injury and inconsistency, he entered Sunday with only two hundred-yard games and two double-digit fantasy days. Amendola added one to each of those totals, though, in the team's 24-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Danny Amendola gets big yardage for Patriots, fantasy owners
The first-year Patriot set season highs in catches and yardage Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Amendola tied his season-high with 10 catches for a season-best 131 yards in the game. He was held out of the end zone, but still managed 13 fantasy points, his second-best performance of the season.
Fantasy impact: The surface numbers are great for Amendola -- 131 yards, 13 fantasy points -- but it’s possible the best signs were ones that don’t show up in the stats.
He caught 10 passes on 14 targets in the game. The last time he had 10 catches in a game, he had to leave with an injury and missed his next three. There were no murmurs of any health problems for the oft-injured Amendola coming out of Sunday's game. Also, when the Patriots were driving to try to win the game in the last minute, Amendola was the receiver quarterback Tom Brady looked to over and over. It has looked like the two have struggled to find a connection this season, so to see Brady looking Amendola's way so much has to be a good sign for fantasy owners.
