Houston Texans running back Ben Tate had a very middling day Sunday, but one that could have been a lot worse. The running back fumbled twice, but both were recovered by the Texans in the team's 25-3 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Houston's 12th straight loss.

The Texans running back has struggled to find the big games. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tate had 72 rushing yards on 16 carries and 20 receiving yards on three catches in the game. Outside of his ridiculous three-touchdown game against the New England Patriots in Week 13, the running back only has one touchdown in a year in which he's been getting more starts thanks to an injury to No. 1 running back Arian Foster.
Tate's backup, Dennis Johnson, has been a no-show for three weeks now after his 74-yard performance in Week 12. On Sunday, he had only four rushes for 12 yards.
Fantasy impact: At this point, Tate is who he is: a middling flex play at running back. He has upside, but danged if he doesn't reach it often. Against the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans -- two defenses that struggle against running backs -- in the last two games, he's a fantasy starter, but not a high-end one.
