With starter Donald Brown sidelined with what was classified as a stinger, Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson had his best game of the season Sunday. The running back scored his first touchdown since Week 4 in the team's 25-3 win over the Houston Texans.
Trent Richardson gives fantasy owners his biggest game of the season
The Colts running back had his best game of 2013 by almost any measure. We break down the fantasy implications.

Richardson ran for a season-high 64 yards on 19 carries in the game. He added 38 receiving yards and a score on four receptions, his second-highest receiving total of the season. His total yardage of 102 was his most of the season by 14 yards. Richardson's score came on a nine-yard connection with quarterback Andrew Luck in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, Brown had 38 rushing yards on five carries before leaving the game. He’s had three fantasy points or fewer in three of his last four games.
Fantasy impact: It’s kind of sad that fantasy owners are cheering 64 rushing yards and 15 fantasy points from a first-round fantasy pick like Richardson, but that’s where he is now. If it turns out Brown has to miss time going forward, Richardson will by default by the team’s main guy, which could lead to success. At this point, though, it’s hard to imagine anyone really trusting him.
