Fantasy impact: With teammate Cecil Shorts III (groin) sitting out the game against the Bills, quarterback Chad Henne needed a target to turn to. In Week 15 it was his tight end.
Lewis had missed most of the season with a calf injury. He’s a big target who once scored double-digit touchdowns in a season. He’s a few years removed from that kind of production.
That said, fantasy owners might now want to consider taking a look at Lewis, as he’s recently demonstrated a nose for the end zone. The Jaguars as a team are playing better football lately and they have no reason to rush back Shorts. That means Lewis could be a sneaky tight end to start in Week 16.
