Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard wasn't the most active player in the team's 30-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football, but he did manage to salvage a somewhat respectable fantasy football stat line.
Giovani Bernard scores touchdown in otherwise dismal game against Steelers
The Bengals were forced to abandon the running game earlier than expected.

While the Bengals trailed most of the game and didn’t run the ball much, Bernard had 13 carries for 33 yards and saved his day with a touchdown. He also caught two passes for 13 yards. Benjarvus Green-Ellis had four touches to Bernard’s 15.
Fantasy spin: Bernard has been a surprise success in fantasy football, but Week 15 was not one of his better showings. With the team falling behind 21-0 in the first quarter, the running game was not an emphasis. Still, the Bengals should be finding ways to get Bernard involved earlier in games.
The Bengals play the Vikings next week, so they could continue to struggle on the ground.
