St. Louis Rams running back Zac Stacy had a huge game on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. The Week 15 matchup held little value for a Rams team that isn't competing for a spot in the playoffs, but that didn't stop Stacy from playing through an injury and putting up one of his best games yet.
Zac Stacy has huge fantasy performance despite early injury
St. Louis Rams running back Zac Stacy had a huge fantasy performance on Sunday, despite an injury sustained in the first quarter.

Stacy injured his hip on the team’s first drive, but went on to rush for 133 yards off of 28 carries, and had a 40-yard touchdown run. He managed 106 yards by halftime, setting a team rookie record. And what did Stacy have to say about his injury? He brushed it off, as noted by Joe Lyons of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
”I just took a shot ... (the doctors and trainers) fixed it up for me and I went back out there, Stacy said. He also said that all he wants to do is get back on the field and help the organization be successful. That’s a great attitude to have for a player that was supposed to be a backup this season. But his rushing ability -- and his attitude -- seem to have him in line for a starting gig well into the future.
Fantasy Impact: Stacy's impactful performance came one week after he managed just 25 yards on 14 carries against the Arizona Cardinals. That's a per-carry average of 1.8 yards. He's been inconsistent at times, but Stacy has worked his way into being a solid RB2 and at times, even a must-start against the right defense. He should hold value for the very short remainder of this fantasy season, and should be a solid play in dynasty leagues going forward.
