The Lions needed a much better effort from their signal caller in a game that greatly affected their playoff chances. We break down the fantasy implications.

It was a rough night all around for the Lions' signal caller, as three interceptions ultimately cost his team the game. One on third-and-short in field goal range kept potential points off the board, and with three timeouts and 38 seconds on the clock, an errant throw found the hands of safety Matt Elam on the first play of the drive and ended the game. Stafford finished the evening completing 18-of-34 passes for 235 yards, a touchdown and the three interceptions.
Fantasy Spin: Though Stafford has been famous for laying eggs any given week, his sheer volume of throws usually allow his fantasy owners to remain competitive. The Giants, despite their struggles, don't present the easy matchup their record suggests. That shouldn't stop fantasy owners from starting the quarterback that got them to championship week, as Stafford is presented with one of his better matchups down the stretch. He is firmly entrenched in QB1 territory.
