Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas injured his left ankle against the New England Patriots on Sunday. More accurately, Thomas re-injured the ankle, as he missed time with said injury earlier in the season, namely the Week 13 game against the New York Jets, as noted by Andre Abramson of The Palm Beach Post.
Daniel Thomas suffers injury setback, fantasy value low
Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas suffered an injury setback in Week 15. We break down the fantasy implications.

Thomas sustained the injury in the fourth quarter and did not return to action, though he was already playing poorly, with just five carries for 16 yards in the game. That came a week after he had a career high game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in which he had 105 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Still, the Dolphins won that game, 24-20, and their playoff hopes remain alive.
Fantasy Impact: The Miami rushing attack has been iffy all season. Lamar Miller isn't exactly secure as the starter, but Thomas isn't a smart bet to take his carries again, at least in Week 16. Fantasy owners hoping to start him and get an under-the-radar boost should look elsewhere this week, as his ankle injury has been a recurring problem at this point.
