Fantasy Impact: At this point it’s quite clear that Reed is pretty well done for the year. The Redskins are looking toward next season and have nothing to play for. There’s no reason to risk the long-term future of a player like Reed at this point.
Reed has his fantasy breakout performance back in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears. He caught nine passes for 134 yards and a touchdown in that contest and was one of the hottest pickups on fantasy waiver wires for weeks after that.
Teammates Fred Davis and Logan Paulsen will work together to replace Reed's absence against the porous defense of the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16. If quarterback Kirk Cousins does a good job playing spoiler, Davis or Paulsen could find the end zone. That said, there are probably better options at tight end for your championship week.
