The Cardinals’ No. 1 receiver has not yet been cleared to play on Sunday, but the possibility remains. We break down the fantasy implications.

Though it is an encouraging development in Fitzgerald's status for Week 16's matchup versus the Seattle Seahawks, the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver still has to pass one more test on Friday before getting the green light to play, according to AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban.
The Cardinals are on the outside of the playoff picture, but still very much in the conversation for a wild card spot. A victory may not mean much for their chances, but a loss could doom their season. They will need all the help they can get to counter the Seahawks’ devastating secondary, and signs point to Fitzgerald returning to the playing field.
Fantasy Spin: Though Fitzgerald’s presence will surely help the Cardinals’ chances of winning, it is a sketchy play at best for his fantasy owners. The Seahawks present the most difficult matchup to opposing wide receivers, allowing the fewest catches, yards and fantasy points to the position this season.
Though Fitzgerald has the talent to beat even the best cover corners, asking him to do so consistently enough to make him a viable fantasy option this week is a lot to ask. Fitzgerald can be penned in as a boom-or-bust flex play.
