Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. It's the second straight game he will miss as he tries to recover from a concussion.
Wes Welker injury: Broncos WR ruled out for fantasy championship week
Welker is still dealing with post-concussion syndrome and will not play the Texans in Week 16. We break down the fantasy implications.

Welker suffered the concussion in Week 14, his second one in a month. He still hasn’t been cleared to practice and the Broncos will likely hold him out until the playoffs. Barring a surprise comeback, Welker will end the regular season with 73 catches, 778 yards and 10 touchdowns. It’s the first time since 2010 he’s been held to less than 100 catches.
Fantasy impact: Hopefully you should have already made plans to replace Welker for fantasy championship week. Andre Caldwell is expected to continue serving as the Broncos' No. 3 wideout, but isn't a realistic fantasy option in Denver's stacked passing game. Welker's numbers were slightly down this year, but he should stay on the WR2 radar heading into 2014.
