Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday.
Daniel Thomas misses practice again, Lamar Miller’s fantasy owners play the waiting game
The Dolphins backfield may take less of a committee approach on Sunday with Daniel Thomas sitting out of practice for the second straight day. We break down the fantasy implications.

Thomas had been dealing with a high-ankle sprain, which kept him out of action during the team's Week 13 matchup versus the New York Jets. Thomas appeared to be over his injury, but suffered a setback during the team's victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday and has been kept out of practice since.
Fantasy Spin: Should Thomas not suit up versus the Buffalo Bills, it makes Lamar Miller an intriguing flex option for fantasy owners. Though Miller has come up short several times this season, having Thomas not eating away at snaps still gives a significant boost to his value.
The Bills have given up the 11th-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs, but there’s still upside to be had for the Dolphins backfield. The 1,559 rushing yards the Bills have allowed to opposing running backs is a total that only three other teams have topped. Touchdowns will be unlikely, but because there is room to run, there is also room for success for Miller if Thomas can’t go.
