Miller missed all of practice before Week 15's matchup with the New York Giants but still played despite a rib injury. Now, he is ahead of schedule from where he was last week, just in time for a divisional matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals. Barring a setback, Miller is on track to start once again.
Fantasy Spin: Every week, it’s been a common theme for fantasy owners to start the tight end facing the Cardinals. There’s obvious risk involved, especially with such a low-end option like Miller. But more often that not, this strategy has paid off.
The Cardinals have allowed a whopping 91 catches for 1,117 yards and 14 touchdowns to tight ends this season, far more than what any other team has allowed. Comparatively, Jimmy Graham has 76 catches for 1,071 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Fantasy owners in desperate situations at the tight end position are common, and if a Hail Mary option is needed, Miller definitely fits the bill. Consider him a boom-or-bust option with plenty of upside.
