Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had his first game with multiple interceptions since Week 9 on Sunday, and his five carries tied for his fewest in a game since that same Week 9 matchup. Regardless, he had a big fantasy day in the Panthers' 27-6 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina's eighth straight win after starting the season 1-3.
Cam Newton has big fantasy day despite 2 picks
The Panthers quarterback accounted for three touchdowns in Sunday’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Newton completed only 18 passes on 29 attempts for 263 yards, but threw two touchdowns, and ran for another as part of his 68 rushing yards. It was Newton’s fifth game of 26 or more fantasy points this season, most in the NFL.
Fantasy impact: There’s not much to say about Newton that hasn’t been said at this point. He’s a surefire QB1, a slight tier below the top overall guys. Newton will have his awful games -- like his five-point outing in Week 10 against San Francisco -- but his highs are so high that fantasy owners can’t really steer clear of the bad ones.
The Panthers play the division-leading New Orleans Saints twice in the next three weeks. The Saints have a good defense, but again -- Newton doesn't get benched.
