Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew didn't have close to his biggest game on Sunday, but he did have one of his most surprising ones. Maurice Jones-Drew offers fantasy production in unexpected way
The Jaguars running back didn’t run into the end zone Sunday, but he did throw there. We break down the fantasy implications.

The running back ran for 77 yards on 23 carries -- his second-highest rushing yards total of the season -- but had only four receiving yards, keeping his overall yardage total low. He attempted one pass, though, connecting with tight end Marcedes Lewis on an 8-yard touchdown in the second quarter. It was only the second pass attempt of Jones-Drew's eight-year career. The first was in 2010, and it was intercepted.
Fantasy impact: In standard leagues, passing touchdowns are worth less than rushing/receiving ones, so, neat as the score was, it wasn’t as valuable as a more traditional one might have been. That limited Jones-Drew to 11 fantasy points, his fifth straight game with nine or more. Still, no one is complaining about “only” 11 points out of Jones-Drew after the miserable start to the season that had people wondering if he was washed up.
