New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was a favorite target of Tom Brady's on Sunday during the team's 34-31 victory.
Julian Edelman totals over 100 yards for fantasy owners in second straight week
The Patriots got another big game from Julian Edelman on Sunday, as the elusive receiver logged his third 100-yard game of the season and his second in as many weeks. We break down the fantasy implications.

Edelman led the team with 12 targets, a mark that was matched by tight end Rob Gronkowski as the duo proved to be too much for the Houston Texans' secondary to handle. Brady often looked toward Edelman's direction to move the chains, as the shifty slot receiver capitalized on quick-hitting passes. Edelman finished the afternoon with 101 yards on a team-high nine catches, but was held out of the end zone.
Fantasy Spin: So much for Danny Amendola’s return muddying Edelman’s fantasy value. Edelman was the clear favorite in the passing game not named Rob Gronkowski on Sunday, and fantasy owners are well aware of the value that carries in the Patriots’ revitalized offense. Edelman now has back-to-back weeks with nine catches and over 100 yards, putting him firmly in WR3 territory going forward.
Though Edelman faces a tough matchup in Week 14 versus Joe Haden and the Cleveland Browns, it is no longer a matchup destined for fantasy football mediocrity. Haden has allowed back-to-back big weeks to Cecil Shorts and Antonio Brown, and even if he pays close attention to Edelman, there's still value to be had.
