After a recent hot streak, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer cooled off a bit Sunday, posting his lowest completion percentage since Week 4 and his worst passer rating and first multi-interception game since Week 7. Still, Palmer threw three touchdown passes, keeping his overall fantasy performance acceptable in the Cardinals' 24-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cardinals quarterback ended his two-game turnoverless streak, but his three touchdowns gave him a boost. We break down the fantasy implications.

Palmer completed 24-of-41 passes Sunday for 302 yards and three touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions. His touchdown passes went to regular targets Larry Fitzgerald (for 43 yards) and Michael Floyd (for 23), plus one to fourth-year tight end Jim Dray (three yards), the second score of Dray's career.
Fantasy impact: Palmer was much sloppier Sunday than his other recent games, reminiscent of his early-season performance. Palmer was picked off at least once in every game on the season through Week 10, then went without any picks in his last two, both Arizona victories. A sloppy Palmer is a less successful Palmer, at least as it relates to real world success.
For fantasy, though, Palmer’s 302 yards and three touchdowns helped him to 18 fantasy points, his third-highest total of the season. As long as he’s getting yards and touchdowns, Palmer will be a fine fantasy quarterback (obviously, but still). The problem, though, is that Arizona is clean out of friendly defenses on the schedule; they close with four games against St. Louis, Tennessee, Seattle and San Francisco, which is brutal. Palmer’s value only goes down from here.
