New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning was well on his way to a solid outing on Sunday against the Washington Redskins, but had his day once again marred by an interception. Manning has thrown a whopping 18 interceptions on the season against his 15 touchdowns.

It’s been a very rough season for Manning, who has thrown for three or more interceptions in four separate games this season. On Sunday against Washington, Manning completed 22 of 28 passes for 235 yards and a touchdown, with one interception. The Giants bested Washington in that game, 24-17.
But Manning could not avoid throwing the interception. He has only doen so in three games this season, and in one of those games he also did now have a touchdown. His completion percentage on Sunday was 78.6 percent, but his season number is far worse, at 58.3 percent.
Fantasy Impact: Manning entered the season as one of the top quarterbacks in the league and, accordingly, one of the top fantasy options. The Giants were expected to be a middling team with a shot at winning the NFC East, but Manning was expected to be as solid as he had been in recent seasons.
He’s occasionally managed solid outings, but has only thrown for three or more touchdowns in a single game one time this season, and again, has those interceptions. If you happen to be in a league that doesn’t penalize for interceptions .. then Manning might have been halfway decent this season. As it stands, he’s been pretty terrible otherwise. Sunday’s game actually ranks on the higher end of his performances, unfortunately.
