Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: DeAngelo Williams not likely to repeat

The Panthers offense was a little more pass happy on Sunday against the New York Jets. Perhaps the coaching staff went into the game knowing Carolina wasn't going to be able to move the ball well against the Jets and their top-ranked 3.1 yards-per-carry average. That didn't stop running back DeAngelo Williams from busting loose for a combined 169 yards on 18 touches in the easy win. Of course, a 72-yard screen pass really made his day, but a 5.4 yards-per-carry average against the Jets was certainly impressive.

The Panthers take on the New Orleans Saints just two weeks after getting thrashed at the Superdome. Williams was quiet in that game with 52 rushing yards and one reception for 11 yards.

Fantasy impact: It's probably going to be a bit of a shootout, so the Panthers aren't likely to lean on their rushing attack. The Saints are the ninth-toughest matchup for running backs, and they have done a solid job shutting down backs like Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore this season. DeAngelo is a high-end flex in most formats.
