Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Bobby Rainey could have success
Bobby Rainey and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense were shut down by the 49ers on Sunday. Can they rebound for fantasy owners against the Rams?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bobby Rainey has been a little hit or miss since taking over as the starter. it was a big miss for the Bucs back on Sunday, totaling 30 yards on 12 touches while failing to score in Week 15's 33-14 loss at home to the San Francisco 49ers.
In Week 14, he had a nice day overall thanks to an 80-yard run to start the game, but had just 44 yards on his following 24 touches in that game. Rainey hasn't really done much outside of that aforementioned big run since his debut as the starter against the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 17.
Although, it's been some very tough sledding. In that span since the Falcons game, the Bucs have faced the Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills and 49ers. Outside of the Bills, all of those teams should he viewed as tough matchups for backs. That won't be the case on Sunday.
Fantasy impact: The Bucs get the St. Louis Rams in Week 16. The Rams are the eighth-best matchup for running backs, so Rainey owners might actually have some form of confidence in starting him. He should be viewed as a top-20 play in all formats, but he's a risk.
