Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 16: Andre Brown, Giants go on the road
Andre Brown has really cooled off from his fast start. Should fantasy owners have faith he can get it turned around against the Lions in Week 16?
There weren't many worse offenses than the New York Giants on Sunday Dec. 15. They were shut out by the Seattle Seahawks on their home turf and barely made it past the 50-yard line throughout the game.
This wasn't the first time their offense has been a no-show and it's really impacted running back Andre Brown's outlook. After flirting with top-10 RB value in his first three weeks as the starter, he's averaged just 44.3 rushing yards in his three previous games. Brown also failed to score in two of his last three games and didn't top 23 receiving yards in any of those outings.
In Week 16, they will take on the Detroit Lions, which has not been a friendly matchup for backs not named LeSean McCoy due to the drubbing he put on them in Week 14.
Fantasy impact: Even with the McCoy game factored in, the Lions are the fourth-toughest matchup for running backs. It’s hard to get too attached to the idea of Brown, but he is somewhat safe since his carries are not in jeopardy whatsoever. He can be viewed as a low-upside RB2.
