Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith is officially listed as probable on the injury report heading into Week 16. Smith injured his finger during practice on Wednesday, and missed practice on Thursday. The concern was short-lived, however, as he was in good spirits regarding the injury and returned to practice on Friday.
Steve Smith injury: Panthers WR probable, should play for fantasy owners
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith is probable for Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

That Friday session was on a limited basis, but at 34 years of age and with plenty of seasoning under his belt, Smith doesn't need every minute of practice time. He hasn't missed a game in three seasons and has played through much more significant injuries in the past. It seems likely he'll be in action on Sunday when the Panthers host the NFC South rival New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Impact: Smith isn’t going to miss this game due to an injured finger. He’s going to play, and he should get his usual looks. He hasn’t been a big weapon in fantasy this year, though, with 63 receptions for 701 yards and four touchdowns. Still, if you planned on starting him, don’t let this injury stop you. He’s good to go.
