Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew was a question mark much of the week after missing Week 15 with a hamstring injury. He ended up being active for the team's game against the Tennessee Titans, and while he wasn't bad, fantasy owners would probably have preferred he was a scratch, just for the clarity. Neither Jones-Drew nor his backup Jordan Todman could get much going in the Jaguars' 20-16 loss.
Maurice Jones-Drew returns, rendering he and Jordan Todman fantasy useless
The Jaguars running back couldn’t get much going Sunday, and his return rendered his backup to irrelevance. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jones-Drew led the team in carries and touches, running the ball 13 times for 45 yards and adding 24 receiving yards on four catches. Todman, meanwhile, was an afterthought in the offense, with only six rushing yards on six carries and a single catch for five.
A week after Todman had 153 yards from scrimmage, he just wasn’t a part of the team’s offense. Jones-Drew got the looks, but couldn’t get enough traction to accumulate.
Fantasy impact: There isn’t enough offensive firepower in Jacksonville to really support two fantasy running backs, rendering Todman fairly useless as long as Jones-Drew is playing. And with Jones-Drew hobbled, it’s tough to rely on him.
Basically, it’s hard to picture anyone using a Jacksonville running back in Week 17. On the plus side for Todman fans in dynasty leagues, it is looking progressively unlikely that Jones-Drew returns to Jacksonville next season, so Todman ought to be a fine value next season.
