Surely there was some fantasy owner who made the finals with both Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller, the Miami Dolphins running backs, on his roster, and spent the week anguishing over which one to use in the finals. Thomas had been more productive lately, but Miller had more points on the season. Back and forth this fantasy player went all week, until finally settling on one Sunday morning.

Regardless of who the choice was, it was right. And wrong. Neither running back managed even a single fantasy point in the Dolphins' 19-0 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Thomas ran the ball nine times in the game for six total yards, adding one catch for three more yards. Miller had more rush yards, tallying a grand total of eight on three carries, though he wasn’t targeted in the game.
Fantasy impact: This game really couldn’t have gone worse fort he Dolphins as a team. Their starting quarterback had 82 pass yards and was sacked seven times. They were shut out in a game they really needed for playoff consideration.
Many of the team's troubles Sunday can be traced back to the Dolphins' abysmal offensive line, which struggled against a strong Buffalo defense. The good side of that is that the struggles of Miller and Thomas aren't necessarily their fault, but the bad side is that there's not much reason to think those problems will go away in Week 17. Still, Miami's Week 17 opponent, the New York Jets, aren't the defense that Buffalo is, so the running backs should at least have potential next week.
