After an abysmal stretch of games, New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith has risen back to respectability of late, with two games of 20-plus fantasy points in his last three. That includes Sunday's strong performance Sunday, in a game the Jets won 24-13 over the Cleveland Browns.

Smith completed 20 of his 36 pass attempts in the game for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He added 48 rushing yards and a score on 10 rushing attempts. Both of Smith's touchdown passes went to wide receiver David Nelson, while his rushing score came on a 17-yard run with three minutes left in the game.
Fantasy impact: Smith put up 20 or more fantasy points three times in a five-game stretch earlier this season, but his season fell apart after the team’s Week 10 bye, as he totaled negative-three points in Weeks 11-13. He’s averaged almost 20 a game in the three weeks since, though, and is averaging less than one turnover per game in that time.
Smith isn’t anything to think about in fantasy in Week 17, but if he can end the season hot and the team can add a few more weapons around him for next season, Smith’s rushing ability will always have him at least on the fringe of fantasy viability.
