It's not really a secret anymore that quarterback Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints are just different units on the road versus at home -- and, considering the torrential downpour Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers was played in, it's possible that's not even the reason -- but the world saw what it feared it might see Sunday. The Saints quarterback had his second-worst fantasy day of the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Brees completed 30 of 44 passes Sunday for 281 yards and a touchdown, but also threw two interceptions. The touchdown pass -- a 5-yard connection with tight end Jimmy Graham -- came in the middle of the fourth quarter, briefly putting the Saints in position to win.
Fantasy impact: In seven home games this season, Brees has averaged 27 fantasy points per game; in his eight road games, he’s had 15.25. Of course, Sunday’s game was also largely played in monsoon-like conditions, and the Panthers do have a strong defense in their own right, so it’s hard to lay all the blame for Brees’ struggles on the location of the game.
Still, with the Saints hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17, there's every reason to expect Brees to bounce well back to the good.
