For much of the season, the Detroit Lions rushing attack has been a roller coaster. That didn't change in Week 16, when Reggie Bush failed to put up much, while Joique Bell impressed all. Bell and Bush have alternated being the starter for reasons of injury, and the Lions have went with one over the other based simply on which one is performing well at any given time.
Reggie Bush disappoints, Joique Bell has solid day for Lions, fantasy owners
The Detroit Lions running back situation was an iffy proposition well into the fantasy championships.

As noted, that was Bell on Sunday against the New York Giants. He carried the ball 20 times for 91 yards and a touchdown, and added a whopping 10 receptions for 63 yards on top of that. Meanwhile, Bush managed just 12 carries for 34 yards and two receptions for 10 yards.
In other words, this situation was not conducive to a stable fantasy football team. We recommended Bell as a solid fantasy handcuff all season, but if you were getting comfortable with Bush and played him for your fantasy championship in Week 16, he might have just lost you the game.
Fantasy Impact: On the season, Bell and Bush had their strong days. Bush has 209 carries for 974 yards and four touchdowns, on top of 49 receptions for 473 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Bell has 158 carries for 619 yards and eight touchdowns, with 49 receptions for 522 yards through the air. Both players had likely won and lost fantasy matchups for their respective owners this year.
