San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin proved to be too physical for the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night.
Anquan Boldin finds end zone for fantasy owners on Monday night
The 49ers got a much-needed big game from their veteran wide receiver on Monday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Boldin looked like his usual self, overpowering defensive backs and fighting for the ball with regularity. It’s no surprise that he led the team in targets and cashed in on a touchdown from 10 yards out. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick found his hulking receiver on a screen pass, and Boldin marched through defenders for his lone score of the game. He finished with six catches for 72 yards and the touchdown.
Fantasy Spin: Boldin has a difficult matchup ahead versus the Arizona Cardinals and Patrick Peterson, although he won't see as much of him if he remains heavily involved with slot duties. As a result, his upside is not as capped as an outside receiver like Michael Crabtree, and fantasy owners who are still playing in Week 17 can roll with Boldin as a WR3 with upside. After a fast start and a slow middle of the season, fantasy owners can appreciate Boldin coming on strong toward the end, with three out of his last five games with over 90 yards.
