Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was held out of Thursday's practice after being diagnosed with a concussion.
Dwayne Bowe diagnosed with a concussion, status in question for Chiefs, fantasy owners
The Chiefs’ No. 1 receiver popped up on Thursday’s injury report with a concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bowe did not appear on Wednesday’s injury report, so the concussion was likely suffered during Thursday’s practice. There will be protocol for Bowe to pass through in order to determine his availability, but with the Chiefs locked into the AFC’s No. 5 seed, there is no need to rush their No. 1 wide receiver back into action this week.
Fantasy Spin: Though no official announcement has been made, it would be foolish for the Chiefs to start Bowe, barring a miraculous recovery. Winning or losing in Week 17 would not affect their road to the Super Bowl, which is something head coach Andy Reid is fully aware of. In fact, Reid had already hinted at resting his starters, which does not bode well for Bowe's status regardless of his health.
For fantasy owners in need of a wide receiver for Week 17, Bowe is about as risky as it gets. Look elsewhere, and keep him on the bench while teams gear up for the postseason.
