Wes Welker injury: Broncos WR out for fantasy owners in Week 17
Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker is out for Week 17. We break down the fantasy implications.

Welker sustained the concussion in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. It's the second concussion of the season, and given his lengthy career, it's a safe bet to say he's had more than his fair share. He sustained the first concussion against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. He returned quickly from that injury, however.
At this point, Welker is no guarantee to return for the playoffs. The Broncos need to lock up the No. 1 seed on Sunday, but they'll do so without Welker. Getting through the postseason without him will be a much more difficult prospect than besting the Oakland Raiders, though.
Fantasy Impact: Welker has been an effective fantasy receiver this year, and he may have proven important to many fantasy owners in their championship games this week. Unfortunately, he’s not going to be able to help them win it, and whatever backup option fantasy owners have been using will need to suffice for one last week.
