Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh hopes that tight end Dennis Pitta will be available to play in the team's Week 14 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. On Wednesday, Harbaugh said that Pitta was having his hip evaluated on Tuesday to see if he is ready to practice. Pitta is recovering from hip surgery that has kept him inactive for the entirety of this season.
Dennis Pitta gets hip evaluated, could return this week; limited fantasy value
Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta had his hip evaluated on Tuesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Pitta hasn’t been cleared for full contact in practice, or if he has, the clearance came on Tuesday or Wednesday. Pitta has been a very effective tight end in the past, catching 61 passes for 669 yards and seven touchdowns with the team last season.
Baltimore has the No. 19 passing offense in the league, throwing for 227.9 yards per game on average. Dallas Clark leads all Ravens tight ends with 31 receptions for 343 yards and three touchdowns. The team would definitely benefit from having Pitta back at this point.
Fantasy Impact: The Ravens really want Pitta back in the lineup, and would likely play him even if he didn’t manage to get in a full week of practice. That said, it’s hard to imagine him playing without a cap on his snap count Sunday, and he is not a reliable fantasy option until we see him play a full game. He could have a big game or two before the season is over, but his fantasy upside remains limited.
