Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams (quad) returned practice on Wednesday, according to a report by Steve Reed of the Associated Press. Williams missed last week's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
DeAngelo Williams, returned to practice Wednesday, fantasy status uncertain
The Panthers running back didn’t play last week but practiced on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: The Panthers are the hottest team in the NFL right now. Quarterback Cam Newton has them rolling. He’s on his game like he never has been before.
That said, all of Newton’s success hasn’t translated into a terrific running game. In fact, in his last three games, Williams has less rushing yards than Newton.
The truth is there are many other running backs that might be better for your playoff drive than Williams. Yes he's the highest paid back on the team, but teammates Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert are still in the mix.
Add that to the fact a quad injury can limit a rusher’s explosiveness, and fantasy owners should probably look elsewhere for Week 14.
