Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler returned to practice on Thursday, but will not play Monday night versus the Dallas Cowboys.
Jay Cutler ruled out for Monday night, Josh McCown remains viable fantasy option
The Bears’ starting signal caller returned to practice on Thursday, but has been ruled out for Monday night’s action. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cutler practiced at a limited capacity, and it was the first time he took the practice field since the week preceding the team's Week 10 matchup versus the Detroit Lions. Cutler has not seen game-action or time at practice since spraining his ankle on that Nov. 10 game, and though progress had been made, it was Josh McCown seen taking first-team snaps during the portion of practice that was open to the media.
Fantasy Spin: With Cutler's status now in stone, fantasy owners can go ahead and plug Josh McCown into their lineups versus a Cowboys defense that is allowing the most fantasy points this season to quarterbacks. However, with Cutler back on the practice field and with the Bears in a tight race with the Lions and Green Bay Packers, McCown's days as a starter could be numbered despite his great play in relief. But for Week 14, McCown is a solid QB1.
