Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was held out of practice for the second straight day on Thursday.
Adrian Peterson sits out Thursday’s practice, fantasy owners need not be concerned
The Vikings sat their feature back during Wednesday and Thursday’s practices. We break down the fantasy implications.

This is not a new practice for the Vikings’ All-Pro running back, as his reps have been -- and will continue to be - limited down the stretch. Peterson has not participated in more than one day of practice since Week 10, and has yet to miss a game. Expect Peterson to resume his recent trend of sitting both Wednesday and Thursday and returning for Friday’s session.
Fantasy Spin: Even with the missed time, there is no need for concern among Peterson’s fantasy owners. Vikings brass continues to keep their most important player fresh as the mileage accumulates amid yet another great season on the ground.
Versus the Baltimore Ravens on the road, Peterson is still an RB1 despite facing a defense that has allowed just two rushing touchdowns to running back this season. If there is a running back in the league capable of bucking a trend like that, it's Peterson, and there remains no reason for concern here.
