Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: Shane Vereen has been quiet so far
Shane Vereen hasn’t really busted out for the Patriots yet since returning from his wrist injury. Does his game vs. the Browns present enough opportunity?

The New England Patriots have one of the better offenses in the NFL, but their running back rotation is still in disarray. Running back Shane Vereen has been one of the more consistent guys on the team since his return. In the last two weeks, he's had 10 carries in each game, totaling 13 catches for 166 yards from scrimmage.
Vereen also scored last week via a receiving TD, but he still has yet to really explode like many expected. Back in Week 1, Vereen was terrific against the Buffalo Bills, with 159 yards from scrimmage on a whopping 21 touches. Of course, he broke his wrist and missed two months.
Fantasy impact: The Patriots get a tougher matchup this week against the Cleveland Browns. Sure, the Browns don't exactly sound threatening on the surface, but they have a lot of speed at linebacker and their defensive line gets good push at the line of scrimmage. That might actually be a positive for Vereen. The Patriots are obviously comfortable in trusting Tom Brady, so they might use Vereen in the screen game to manufacture an unconventional ground game. He's a must-start PPR guy and a decent flex in standard leagues.
