Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: Ryan Mathews
Ryan Mathews has been better than expected for fantasy owners, and he’ll get the Giants at home. Should he be in your lineup?

To the surprise of just about everyone, San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews has been healthy this season. He hasn't missed a game all year, and even a hamstring issue didn't cost him too much last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. In that game, Mathews put up 61 rushing yards to go with five catches for 31 yards.
Mathews has shown some overall production before that game, with a 143-yard game in Week 11 and 65 yards plus a score in Week 12.
The Chargers are moving the ball better this year, but the Bengals were able to shut them down in the 17-10 loss. That should be a little different against the Giants this week.
Fantasy impact: The G-Men do have one of the better run defenses in the NFL, ranking ninth in yards allowed, but their secondary has some holes in it. The Chargers are unlikely to be able to develop a rushing attack in the home game. Although, Philip Rivers should be able to move the ball, and Mathews might be able to pick up some receptions, as well. He won't have too much of an upside and is more of a flex since he does share the load with Danny Woodhead.
