Fantasy football projections, Week 14: Vikings vs. Ravens featuring Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice and Torrey Smith

The Week 14 matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens may not see that many points on the board. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Let's face it, no matter who's throwing the ball from the quarterback position for the Vikings, they don't have a top notch passing attack. Christian Ponder, Matt Cassel and Josh Freeman have all had their shot at glory and generally have come up short. It's unfortunate for a team with Greg Jennings and Cordarrelle Patterson playing receiver.

The Vikings' ability to move the ball down the field comes down to running back Adrian Peterson. He's really the only week-to-week guaranteed fantasy start that the team has. Purple Jesus has struggled according to his own standards this year. That said, he has just over 1,200 yards rushing this season, more than 10 teams, never mind players.

The Ravens are a long way from looking like Super Bowl champions this year. Their passing attack is the definition of hit or miss, and yet most of the time it's just that, a miss. Quarterback Joe Flacco hasn't been fantasy relevant all year and running back Ray Rice has seen is fantasy value plummet this season. In short, the Ravens just can't get anything going that makes owners in the fantasy world excited.

Though that may change when tight end Dennis Pitta returns from injury, for now receiver Torrey Smith is a lone bright spot. He hasn't played as well as many hoped seeing as how he's now a number one guy, but nonetheless he's the most productive Raven this year. He should be able to light up the Vikings on Sunday. Owners should start him accordingly.
