Editor’s Update: In a bit of a surprise, TE Jordan Reed is INACTIVE
Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is listed as questionable to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. He did not practice on Wednesday and was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday.
He said he would play in the game and said on Friday he “feels a lot better.” There is no official word on Reed, but he’s staring a game-time decision in the face.
Reed was great before he went down to injury with some big-time games. He had a nine-catch, 134-yard game against the Bears back on Oct. 20, then he averaged six catches in the three following weeks. On the downside he gets a very tough Chiefs defense that allows the least fantasy points to tight ends.
Fantasy impact: Obviously the matchup is going to deter some fantasy owners from starting Reed and rightfully so. Still, he was putting up some big numbers before going down to injury and he is definitely a fantasy option. The Redskins tight end should be viewed as a high-upside TE1 that isn’t a must-start option by any stretch.
