Peterson went down awkwardly and left the game immediately after.
Adrian Peterson will have MRI on Monday, fantasy owners hold breath
The reigning NFL MVP exited early on Sunday with a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Peterson did not return to action, and is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday to determine if there is further damage. Before exiting, Peterson totaled 13 yards on seven carries and caught one pass for 4 yards.
Fantasy Spin: It’s a tough blow for Peterson’s owners in the first week of fantasy football playoffs. If his owners were able to compensate for his loss and advance forward, contingency plans need to be explored since his status for Week 15 is very much up in the air. Peterson had been battling a groin injury that limited him in practice during recent weeks, and his foot injury could keep him out of action going forward.
With the Vikings reeling at 3-9-1, it's fair to question if they will consider keeping their star player out of action to avoid further damage. In the meantime, all Peterson's fantasy owners can do is hold tight and wait for more details to emerge. Peterson's backup, Toby Gerhart, is well worth a stash.
