Jonathan Stewart was diagnosed with a torn MCL. We break down the fantasy implications.

His season will end with underwhelming numbers of 180 rushing yards and no TDs in six games. He added just seven catches in the passing game on seven targets for 44 yards. DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert will take over most of the duties at running back the rest of the way.
Fantasy impact: Poor Stewart. He had been hurt almost all season and his season got off on the wrong foot with the news over the summer saying he couldn’t even compete in a golf tournament. Stewart has been hamstrung by all sorts issues, and most of them have been to his legs. He’s under contract through 2017, so the Panthers probably regret that move.
He shouldn’t be considered as a top-50 back in keeper leagues.
As for DeAngelo Williams, he really should be picked up in all leagues. He would serve as an interesting flex player, but it's a bad matchup against the Jets outstanding run defense.
