Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson will be worked back into team drills this week, and head coach Rob Chudzinski hopes to get him playing time in the second preseason game against the Detroit Lions next Thursday.
Trent Richardson injury: Fantasy star RB hopes to play next week
Trent Richardson will be worked back into team drills next week and is hoping to get playing time in the second preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Richardson sat out Thursday's opener against the St. Louis Rams with a shin injury, but it's not considered serious and Chudzinski says he would've played if the game counted in the standings. Richardson remains on track to be ready for Week 1.
Fantasy impact: Getting preseason action will be a big step for Richardson, who missed the entire training camp last season with knee surgery. Despite multiple nicks and ailments in his rookie year, Richardson still played in 15 games, recording 950 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
The shin injury seems to be a non-issue, and fantasy owners can continue penciling him into an RB1 slot. His current ADP puts him in the late first round.
