It took some time for Victor Cruz to take the field this summer due to a contract dispute with New York Giants brass, but his performance in his first preseason game shows it didn't take him long to shake off the rust.
Victor Cruz picks up where he left off with 57-yard touchdown
Victor Cruz caught his first long pass of the preseason after missing time with the team this summer. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cruz had just one catch in his predicted limited action on Saturday night, but he made it count. He burned Steelers cornerback William Gay down the seam and was delivered a perfect pass from Eli Manning to result in a 57-yard score.
Fantasy Spin: Unlike his counterpart Hakeem Nicks, Cruz's summer absence was never a matter of health, and he appears to be all systems go for the start of the season. With an already strong rapport with Manning, not much time was needed to get on the same page with his quarterback, and lack of chemistry should not be a concern for either player's owners. Cruz has WR1 upside and deserves his standing as one of the first 10 receivers off of fantasy draft boards.
