The same cannot be said for backfield counterpart Andre Brown, who miffed a pitch from David Carr in the second quarter of that game, which left head coach Tom Coughlin unsettled. It is believed Wilson damaged Coughlin's trust in him a season ago after fumbling in Week 1, leaving some to believe the same kind of mistrust could be felt toward Brown.
Fantasy Spin: Wilson and Brown are expected to contribute to the running game in committee fashion, much to the chagrin of fantasy owners everywhere. Wilson is the more explosive of the two, but issues regarding ball security and pass-protection warrant the coaches to divvy sizable responsibilities to Brown. Despite Coughlin’s disdain for turnovers, Brown’s job in the timeshare appears safe for now. As long as that remains the case, Wilson’s fantasy potential is capped.
