Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is being kept out of action with a sprained foot, according to CSN Washington’s Tarik El-Bashir.
Redskins tight end Jordan Reed sidelined with a sprained foot
Jordan Reed hasn’t seen much action this summer, and a sprained foot will keep him from taking even more reps. We break down the fantasy implications.

Reed was sidelined for the team's preseason opener versus the Tennessee Titans as a precaution, but the third-round pick has not had much activity with the team so far this summer. He was held out of organized team activities due to a thigh injury, and has not seen extensive action during training camp.
Fantasy Spin: Reed is an attractive option for dynasty and deep-league owners, but isn't displaying any type of short-term payoff. The Redskins offense got tight ends open frequently a season ago with their heavy dose of playaction passes freezing linebackers, but Reed doesn't appear to be in a position to cash-in on those opportunities yet. Because of his inactivity, he is buried behind Fred Davis, Logan Paulsen and Niles Paul on the depth chart. Unless you have the deepest of benches to stash him in dynasty leagues, he's not worth a second look until he starts making noise in camp.
