Tom Brady took a hit to his surgically repaired left knee in practice today and left the field limping noticeably, according to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.

Brady finished just 173 passing yards shy of hitting 5,000 for a second consecutive year in a row and any time he misses would be quite a blow to a team that saw the departure of Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd and Aaron Hernandez this past off-season. The extent of the injury is still unknown. The two-time Super Bowl MVP finished third in points among fantasy quarterbacks last season.
