The Atlanta Falcons are hoping to have a strong running game with Steven Jackson as the bell-cow this season. It's a big change, for both Jackson and the Falcons. Given that Jackson is getting up there in years, many have questioned whether or not he can still put up a 1,000-plus yard season.
Steven Jackson plays well against Ravens; fantasy value intact
Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson played well in the preseason against the Baltimore Ravens. We break down the fantasy implications.

On Thursday, Jackson saw some decent playing time in Atlanta's preseason matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Jackson carried the ball eight times for 42 yards, with a per-carry average of 5.3 yards. He also had one reception for 13 yards. It wasn't a performance that blew anybody away, but he looked good, he looked fresh and he produced.
Fantasy Impact: Jackson has had at least 1,000 yards in all but his rookie season. Last year, he put up 1,042 yards with four touchdowns. He's not the No. 1 fantasy pick that he once was, but all signs point to him being plenty productive. He might not be your best option at the running back position, but all leagues will see Jackson drafted , especially given how driven he's going to be to go out and try an win a Super Bowl.
