Tom Brady (knee) looked to be 100 percent in Friday's preseason 25-21 win over the Buccaneers, completing 11-of-12 passes for 107 yards and one score.
Business as usual for Tom Brady on Friday, remains reliable fantasy starter
Tom Brady’s knee was the story heading into Friday night, but his performance was the story coming out of it. We break down the fantasy implications.

He had a small injury scare earlier this week in a joint practice with the Bucs, but his play on Friday clearly shows he's fine. The cast of characters around Brady is different, so the Patriots felt that trotting out their Hall of Fame QB was worth the risk to help him establish a stronger rapport. He hit Danny Amendola for a 26-yard score as the highlight of his night.
Fantasy impact: Well, so much for Brady having a dropoff with almost all of his primary targets from last season. So far it looks like the system can trump the talent around him and he’s been able to hit receivers at a ridiculous 90-percent clip so far this preseason.
There's no reason to worry about Tom Brady as a fantasy starter and his favorite receiver has always been the open guy. While we would advise that owners proceed with caution in grabbing a QB early in drafts since there is tremendous depth at the position this year, Brady looks to be a top-five option even with the diminished talent around him.
