Danny Amendola turned his seven targets on Friday night into six catches, 71 receiving yards and one score against the Bucs in a preseason game.
Danny Amendola turns into a target monster, fantasy value on the rise
Danny Amendola looked outstanding in Friday’s preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

He's stepping into Wes Welker's role as the slot man in three- and four-wide sets and it's been a seamless transition for the former Ram. Amendola saw 101 targets with the Rams last season, catching 63 of those for 666 yards and three scores in 11 games.
Fantasy impact: There was never really a doubt that Amendola wouldn't struggle in his role with the Patriots, but he's absolutely flourishing to this point. He has been in this spot with the Rams, but Brady and the Patriots have made countless first downs on option routes with Welker and the QB's expert tutelage hasn't taken long to affect Amendola.
Considering the amount of balls Welker caught with the Patriots, Amendola’s upside is through the roof in PPR leagues. The problem is that he’s been injured far too often and there’s a tremendous amount of risk. The cat’s out of the bag on him and he’ll probably be off the board in the third round of PPR drafts, but he’s worth that risk for owners that are feeling a little saucy on draft day.
